Scope of Position

The Senior Outreach Coordinator serves as the liaison between outside Clients and the Clinical Laboratories at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center and is responsible for outstanding customer service between all entities. Develops and manages collaborations with laboratory administration and administrative leadership of regional hospitals and outreach clients. Responsible for coordinating all outreach collection facilities, including client services, courier services, sales and marketing and technical support. The Outreach Coordinator must support the mission, vision, values, and strategic initiatives of the organization and demonstrate a commitment to quality service to patients, physicians, the public and co-workers.

Position Summary

The position of Senior Outreach Coordinator will function as in integral part of the laboratory operations outreach team. The Senior Outreach Coordinator is responsible for working in partnership to identify, develop and implement operational opportunities to enhance the Wexner Medical Center's operations and to extend net revenue for OSUWMC clinical laboratories that financially supports top of hospital for all OSUWMC initiatives. The Senior Outreach Coordinator will serve as a liaison between the medical center and community organizations, clinics, healthcare organizations, elder communities and their organizations, as well as government agencies. The Senior Outreach Coordinator will serve on internal committees at OSU representing the Community's interests. The Senior Outreach Coordinator will be able to assist in collaborations with regional hospitals and WMC programs designed to strengthen their relationships with the communities they serve.

The Senior Coordinator will actively engage and support contracted clients of OSU Reference Laboratories (OSURL) through customer service, test audits, quality reports, financial reports, billing audits.

Job Requirements

For Hire: Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's Level Degree

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Health Education, Nursing, Health Services Administration or related field. 4 years of relevant experience required. 4 - 8 years of relevant experience preferred.

Ongoing: Maintains certification status. Meets mandatory education and health surveillance requirements. Demonstrates competence in the technical, interpersonal, and cognitive skills required to meet essential job functions.
