Key Responsibilities of Web Development Interns

1. Web Development & Design

Interns will create visually appealing, user-friendly, and responsive websites that reflect the school’s identity and values. This includes working with coding languages and technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and various Content Management Systems (CMS).

2. Content Management

Interns will ensure the school website is consistently updated with accurate and relevant information—including news updates, announcements, event calendars, and academic content. This requires close collaboration with school staff to gather and publish content.

3. User Experience (UX)

Interns will work to ensure the website offers a smooth and intuitive experience for students, parents, teachers, and administrators. This may include conducting user testing sessions, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing feedback to enhance navigation and usability.

4. Integrations & Digital Tools

Interns will implement and maintain essential website tools, plugins, and integrations such as online forms, grade portals, and Student Information System (SIS) connections.

5. Security & Maintenance

Interns will help maintain the website’s security and performance by updating plugins, themes, and software, monitoring for vulnerabilities, and ensuring the site operates efficiently and securely.

6. Additional Support Tasks

Interns may also assist with tasks such as:

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Troubleshooting technical issues

General website support and enhancements
