Senior Project Scheduler

MATT Construction, the General Contractor that built such iconic structures as The Broad and Academy Museum of Motion Pictures is seeking an On-Site Senior Project Scheduler for projects in Orange County.

The Senior Project Scheduler supports overall project delivery by combining project management responsibilities with full-cycle scheduling expertise.

This role partners with the Project Manager, Superintendent, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure projects are well-planned, well-executed, and aligned with contract requirements.

Project SchedulingDevelop comprehensive Baseline Schedules that reflect bid-phase intent and project team inputLead and manage the procurement schedule for the projectEnsure full subcontractor and project-team buy-in during schedule creationProduce clear, contract-compliant schedule presentations and narratives for OwnersUpdate schedules regularly by incorporating as-built conditions, progress, new work activities, and delaysCommunicate schedule deviations, critical path shifts, and milestone impacts to internal and external stakeholdersPrepare recovery, acceleration, “what-if,” and Time Impact Analysis schedules as neededSupport monthly executive schedule reporting and analytics Project ManagementSupport the Project Team with client communication, constructability reviews, and day-to-day coordinationCommunicate with subcontractors to incorporate trade specific schedule activities with vetted durations and sequencing.Partner with superintendents to maintain the construction schedule and review field installation qualityChampion project safety initiatives and reinforce a strong safety cultureMentor Project Team Members on proper scheduling concepts/proceduresAssist Project Team and Estimating team with Change OrdersCollaborate with the Training Department to support scheduling best practices and training initiatives RequirementsMinimum 5 years of commercial construction experience in project scheduling and/or project managementBachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering preferred, but experience will be considered in lieu of educationStrong understanding of critical path scheduling and field construction operationsProficiency with Primavera P6Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skillsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team MATT Benefits Include:Yearly Bonus/Deferred Compensation eligibleAuto allowanceFuel CardRobust and affordable insurance plan options401(k) with matchingEmployee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)Paid Time OffEducation reimbursementStudent Loan paydown plan MATT Construction is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
