Updated: 7/17/2024 Role Definition Ensures that products being built and processes being used adhere to all standards and requirements meeting the expectations of internal and external customers.

Responsibilities * Performing quality reviews and internal audits; evaluating data and writing reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.

* Monitoring engineering processes and products for adherence to company and regulatory standards and practices; participating in quality improvement initiatives and projects.

* Analyzing statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product.

* Recommending modifications to existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality.

* Conducting investigations and analyses which contribute to the development and implementation of methods, procedures, and equipment that ensure quality standards for parts and prime products.

* Participating in and offering technical support to internal and external audits; following up on response of corrective action from audit.

* Interacting with manufacturing team members to determine root cause of quality issues and ensuring that corrective and preventive action is implemented.

* Oversees situations where the removal of the cause entails more resource expenditure than dealing with the symptom.

Summary Pay Range: $108,834.00 - $163,252.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.

Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
