About the position: As a Materials Handler at Madison Health, you will be responsible for the receipt, storage and distribution of all materials delivered to the Materials Management Department by various vendors. Responsible for PAR LEVEL systems in the store room and throughout the facility, including the adjustment of stock levels. This positionis scheduled Monday-Friday from 6:30am to 3:00pm.
Key job qualities/duties:
Receives all materials delivered to the facility by various vendors to include, Fed/Ex, UPS and all courier deliveries. Reviews all documents for accuracy prior to processing packing slips. Verifies that quantities received match packing slips. Properly disburses all materials to various locations in the warehouse and facility. Maintains pre-determined delivery assignments to ensure proper quantity of materials are delivered at the proper time.
Vacuums carpeted areas throughout the facility using appropriate tools. Performs preventive maintenance on equipment as needed.
Reviews par-level system on each unit. Maintains and replenishes all par-levels on each unit. Reviews par-levels quarterly to make adjustments as needed. Verifies what products are being used and/or not being used on each unit. Coordinates additions, deletions and adjustments to par level with the Unit Director.
Processes purchase orders from departments. Places orders as needed. Verifies correct department and sub-account on purchase order. Verifies correct vendor and price.
Maintains all areas of the materials storage in a neat and organized manner including par levels on each unity, surgery storage areas and main warehouse.
Conducts inventory of all materials. Performs spot inventory every three months. Performs annual inventory at year end.
Maintains all equipment utilized in transporting materials in a manner that ensures reliable and safe operation.
What qualifications are we looking for?
