System Administrator

The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled System Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing IT infrastructure, ensuring system security, and delivering high-level technical support. Duties & Responsibilities
System Maintenance: Monitor and ensure hardware, server resources, and key processes are operating effectively. Review system/application logs and verify scheduled jobs are completed.
Server Configuration & Management: Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade both physical and virtual server OS and applications.
Network Management: Manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure (switches, firewalls, VPNs), ensuring optimal LAN/WAN connectivity and uptime.
Security Maintenance: Implement and manage security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software, and enforce IT security policies.
Backup & Disaster Recovery: Develop, maintain, and regularly test backup and disaster recovery strategies for critical infrastructure.
User Support: Provide escalated technical support, troubleshoot complex hardware/software issues, assist with installations, and resolve connectivity problems.
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and maintenance tasks.
Patch Management: Regularly apply software patches and system updates to maintain a secure and stable environment.
Capacity Planning: Monitor performance metrics and system resources to forecast future needs and address bottlenecks.
Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with IT team members including cybersecurity, networking, and support specialists to ensure seamless system operations.
Ideal Profile
8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or system administration
Technical degree in Computer Science or related field
Relevant certifications (preferred):
Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate
Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (AZ-800 & AZ-801)
Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104)
Experience with automation using scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash)
Proven expertise in:
Linux, macOS, Windows Server Clusters (ASHCI)
Dell PowerVaults, MS SQL
Microsoft 365 Suite (OneDrive, SharePoint, Exchange Online)
Microsoft Intune & Azure
Fortinet network security technologies
Excellent communication skills in French and English
