Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position with rotating day/evening shifts and circulating and scrub responsibilities.

Job Details

• Work in an Operating Room serving a diverse surgical population including neuro, thoracic, ENT, ortho, general, plastics, urology, GU/GYN, free flaps, and robotic (Da-Vinci) cases,

• Day and evening rotating shifts with combinations of 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts to total 40 hours per week,

• Shift times may include 06:30-17:00, 06:30-19:00, and 10:30-20:30,

• Call required as needed, with options for evening, night, and weekend coverage,

• Weekend shifts may be included in the schedule,

• Use of EPIC electronic medical record system is required,

Job Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration,

• Minimum of 2 years OR RN experience,

• BCLS certification required,

• Circulating and scrubbing experience required,

• EPIC experience required,

• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program,

• Two professional references required, at least one from a supervisory role,

• Former employees must have a 6-month separation to be eligible,

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative care including circulating and scrubbing duties,

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes,

• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in EPIC,

• Oncology surgical experience is preferred,

• Orientation to be provided as required by the department,

• Holiday and weekend coverage may be required based on unit needs,

• Fingerprinting for Ohio compliance must be completed urgently post-contract,

• Locals are accepted for this assignment at the same rate,

• Requested time off must be submitted prior to contract offer,

• Current employees of the Ohio State University hospital system are ineligible for travel assignments,
