Travel RN - Cardiovascular ICU

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU night shift position in Ohio, requiring cardiac ICU expertise and an active OH or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Work in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) in a hospital setting,

• Night shifts are scheduled from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 3x12 hour shifts per week,

• Weekday and some weekend shifts are required with up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week period,

• Rotating holiday coverage is required,

• Patient ratios are 1:1 to 1:2,

• Floating to units of equal or lower acuity is required,

• No call required,

• Epic EMR experience is required,

Job Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand at the time of consideration,

• BLS and ACLS certifications required,

• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program is required,

• Two years of recent cardiac ICU experience preferred,

• Proficiency with IV starts, telemetry, ventilators, Swan-Ganz catheters, conscious sedation, balloon pumps, and pulmonary artery lines,

• Epic EMR experience required,

• Previous travel nursing experience preferred,

• Submission requires two professional references, including at least one supervisor or manager,

• Former employees eligible if separated from the facility for 6 months or more,

• Current employees are not eligible for travel assignments at this facility,

Additional Information

• RNs provide specialized care for critically ill cardiac patients and monitor advanced equipment such as Swan-Ganz catheters and balloon pumps,

• Timely completion of Ohio fingerprinting is required shortly after contract signing,

• Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers,

• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application,

• Assignment covers holidays on a rotating basis,

• First-time travelers will be considered if all requirements are met,
