Construction Superintendent - NYCHA Rehabilitation Projects

Compensation: $140,000-$200,000 base salary + bonus + full benefits
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead NYCHA and public housing rehabilitation projects throughout New York City. This is a hands-on, site-focused role overseeing daily field operations across occupied and unoccupied residential buildings. The Superintendent will drive schedule, subcontractor performance, safety, and quality while serving as a professional representative to residents, NYCHA, and partner agencies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day field supervision for unit renovations, common area upgrades, MEP and building systems work, and exterior restoration.
Direct subcontractors and self-perform labor; maintain productivity, sequencing, and safety across active work areas.
Manage site logistics, DOB/NYCHA inspections, punchlist activities, and turnover readiness.
Maintain professional communication with residents, tenant associations, building staff, and agency representatives.
Monitor project progress, quality, and compliance; resolve issues quickly to maintain schedule.
Enforce safety protocols aligned with OSHA requirements, company standards, and NYCHA procedures.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, with recent NYCHA, HPD, HDC, or public housing rehab experience.
Strong knowledge of tenant-in-place renovations, building access coordination, and resident communication.
Experience with DOB processes, QC closeout, and multi-trade coordination across interiors, MEP, roofing, façade, and window scopes.
Proficiency in Procore, PlanGrid, or similar field management software.
OSHA 30 required; 62-hour SST Supervisor preferred.
