About The Position

Position Description

Start Date: As soon as credentialed (approx. 45-60 days)

Schedule: Must be available a minimum of 5 shifts/month (preferably 8-10)

Coverage Model:

Meigs ED (freestanding): 25-35 patients/day

24-hour physician coverage (8a-8p / 8p-8a)

Mid-level support (12p-12a)

Providers manage their own documentation

No trauma designation - trauma cases transferred to tertiary centers

No admissions at Meigs (handled at Gallipolis main site)

Responsible for ED codes

Cross-coverage required across Meigs, Gallipolis & Jackson

Job Requirements

Requirements

Ohio License REQUIRED (IMLC accepted with proof of LOQ within 3 days)

Board Certified ABMS/AOA in IM or FM - REQUIRED

Minimum 2+ years recent EM experience - REQUIRED

Certifications REQUIRED: ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS, NRP

Must be available for nights and weekends
