Job Overview

Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist.

Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes per OT Board.

Will work under a License Occupational Therapist who will ensure compliance with state practice acts.

Communicate patient progress and plans with supervisors and healthcare team members. Participate in care conferences, staff training, and documentation per policy and payer requirements.

Provide caregiver training and assist with discharge planning.

Recommend and coordinate durable medical equipment for patient mobility.

Maintain equipment and ensure safe, effective operation.

Qualifications

Certified Occupational Therapist in the state; must maintain active, good-standing license.

Meet continuing education requirements.

Proficient with Net Health, Point Click Care, and related software.

Skills

Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to read and interpret policies, technical procedures, and instructions.

Apply mathematical and reasoning skills to clinical situations.

Physical Demands

Frequent standing, walking, pushing, and pulling.

Occasional sitting, climbing, or kneeling.

Ability to lift over 50 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally.

Normal vision, hearing, and dexterity required.

Work Environment

Low to moderate noise level.
