SUMMARY: Responsible for documentation and implementation of safety guidelines which provide coverage for multiple areas of operations, sampling, audits, assessments, reporting, administration, and related areas.

Compensation: $22.00 - 24.00 per hour ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Provides a variety of EHS support with knowledge covering multiple areas of operations, including sampling, audits, assessments, reporting, administration, and related areas; involves more intermediate to complex EHS areas.Interprets data to support staff and management regarding EHS policies, programs, and practicesAnticipates hazardous conditions, develops EHS programs, designs and executes product use and exposure testing procedures.Facilitates training and meetings on EHS policies, programs, and practices.Follows and implements proper safety guidelines based on federal, state, local, and customer regulationsReviews, completes, and processes various types of logs, documents, databases, and related materials and informationProvide support researching issues, developing, reviewing, and implementing recommendations to resolve employee, management, and related customer issuesAssists with ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; receives guidance and direction or escalates when requiredContributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department's service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work teamPromotes and supports the overall mission of Pace Analytical by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with customers and staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in industrial hygiene, safety, chemistry, chemical engineering, environmental sciences, or a closely related field; AND two (2) years of safety or industrial hygiene experience, including experience with complex programs or operations; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Required Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Continued employment is contingent upon all required licenses and certificates being maintained in active status without suspension or revocation.Shipment of Hazardous Materials could be required depending on the area of assignment.

Required Knowledge and Skills Required Knowledge:Principles, practices, and techniques of implementing federal, state, local, and customer safety programs.Methods to resolve health and related safety administrative or technical problems, questions, and concerns.Standard applicable health and related safety policies and procedures for lab/manufacturing.Computer applications and systems related to the work.Principles and practices to serving as an effective project team memberMethods to communicate with staff, coworkers, and customers to ensure safe, effective, and appropriate operationsProper use of English, including spelling, grammar, and punctuationBilingual in English and Spanish Required Skills:Performing health and related safety coordination duties in a variety of assigned areasProviding various support within health and related safety and operations functions, such as testing, auditing, and reporting on operationsServing as a team member working with customers and projectsOperating in both a team and individual contributor environmentInterpreting, applying, and explaining organizational policies and proceduresMaintaining databases, forms, documents, and related informati0nUsing initiative and judgment within established department policies and proceduresUse of organization and time management ensuring deadlines are metUsing discretion when working confidential and proprietary informationPerforming effective oral presentations to groups and peers and the departmentContributing effectively to the accomplishment of team or work unit goals, objectives, and activitiesEstablishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of individuals contacted in the course of the work Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S.
