Job Description INTERNSHIP POSITION SUMMARY The Cincinnati Art Museum has an opening for a part-time Family Programming Intern in the spring of 2026.

This paid internship will be 12 weeks from January through April and scheduled 20-25 hours per week, working occasionally in the evening and weekends.

The Family Programming Intern will support the Learning & Interpretation department by developing engaging, inclusive, and education-based experiences for families visiting the museum.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to program planning and facilitation, public speaking, problem solving, engaging with young audiences, and supporting creativity.

ESSENTIAL INTERNSHIP FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Working under the overall direction of the Assistant Director of Adult & Studio Programs, duties include, but are not limited to the following: Brainstorm and develop activities and art making experiencesWriting and planning content for young audiencesPublic speaking and facilitating programsAdministrative and logistical support of programs Other duties as assigned INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS Upper-level undergraduate student or new graduate with a degree in art history, museum studies, art education, or in a related program or field of study.

General knowledge of art history is a plus.Knowledge of education practices and experience working with childrenMust be a team player with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate with various and diverse groups of people.Candidate must be willing to work a flexible schedule.
