Schedule: Full-time On-site 1st Shift, Mon–Thu 5:00AM–3:00PM (flexible for Fridays & other shifts as needed)
About the Role
Central Texas Recruiting is seeking an experienced Press Tech Production Supervisor for a client in Ripon, WI to oversee stamping operations, lead teams, and drive process optimization on the production floor. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strong leadership, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to flex across multiple shifts when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Oversight
Optimize stamping production processes to meet standards and customer requirements
Apply tool & die fundamentals to troubleshoot and resolve issues
Partner with engineering and design teams to enhance die performance
Leadership & Development
Foster a servant leadership culture by mentoring and empowering team members
Lead by example with professionalism and commitment to excellence
Conduct team meetings and 1:1s to support growth and alignment
Process Optimization
Identify and lead efficiency improvements across production
Implement lean manufacturing with emphasis on SMED
Track production metrics to inform decisions and drive improvements
Preventative Maintenance
Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs for presses and tooling
Document and monitor all maintenance activities
Collaborate with maintenance teams to support training and schedule compliance
SMED Implementation
Lead SMED initiatives to reduce die changeover times
Train floor personnel on SMED best practices
Continuously refine methods using feedback and KPIs
Operational Excellence
Ensure safety compliance and promote a safe work environment
Implement manufacturing best practices to reduce waste and maintain efficiency
Collaboration & Communication
Coordinate with safety, quality, tool room, and maintenance teams
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Support problem-solving and cross-functional decision making
Serve as first point of contact for employee relations matters
Interface with union stewards on contract and disciplinary issues
Project Management
Lead projects from planning through implementation
Develop plans, allocate resources, and ensure timeline and quality adherence
Qualifications & Requirements
U.S. Work Eligibility Required
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related field (experience may substitute)
5+ years in stamping or manufacturing with leadership & process improvement focus
Strong metal stamping and press background
Tool & die knowledge and hands-on troubleshooting ability
Proven SMED implementation experience
Servant leadership experience with high-performance teams
Technical Skills & Competencies
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
Ability to stoop, bend, stand for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs
Flexibility to support multiple shifts when needed
Nice to Have
1–3 years in medium/high-volume manufacturing
Additional SMED expertise
Experience in lean, continuous improvement, or advanced tooling
