We’re looking for an ERP Implementer & Business Manager in the communications industry in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

The ERP Implementer & Business Manager will act as the company’s internal ERP leader, coordinating closely with external consultants to drive a successful ERP implementation during the first year of this position.
This role will be responsible for championing internal readiness, bridging communication between stakeholders and consultants, and ensuring the system is configured to meet the company’s unique needs. Following a successful launch, the role will broaden to include wider business operations, compliance, and sales support leadership as the company scales. This is a hybrid role with on-site expectations at their Thunder Bay, Ontario, office.
ERP & Business Manager responsibilities:
1st year of the position: Serve as the primary internal lead and liaison between the company and external ERP consultants, ensuring alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables After the first year of implementation, the role will evolve into broader business and sales operations leadership, offering significant career growth and impact.
After the completed ERP Implementation, the role will evolve and split into two specialized positions:
Business Operations Manager; concentrating on HR, compliance, ERP systems, and administrative functions
Sales Operations Manager; dedicated to sales systems, forecasting, pipeline management, and sales enablement.
Translate business needs into actionable insights for consultants, validating that proposed solutions fit internal processes and culture
Lead internal change management efforts by communicating updates, managing user expectations, and preparing teams for system adoption
Organize, facilitate, and manage user acceptance testing (UAT), gathering feedback and coordinating adjustments with consultant
Support data cleansing, migration planning, and post-migration validation to ensure data accuracy and integrity
Oversee business operations including HR, compliance, and internal systems management, driving process standardization and automatio
Maintain and optimize CRM and other sales tools to support pipeline management and reporting
This role will transition into responsibilities with administrative operations, compliance and legal coordination, rick management and insurance, project coordination and support.The successful candidate has:
5+ years of experience in business operations/administration, systems implementation, or sales operations
Experience of leading a successful ERP implementation is a MUST.
Experience with ERPs such as Oodo is an asset.
Proven track record of successfully collaborating with external ERP consultants or vendors to deliver implementations
Strong knowledge of CRM, HRIS, and enterprise business platforms
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively bridge internal teams and external partners
Experience leading change management initiatives and driving user adoption
Outstanding organizational and project management abilities
High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
Able to work hybrid, with on-site expectations in the Thunder Bay, Ontario, office,
If you are not located in the Thunder Bay area, travel to the office would be 20-30% Compensation and benefits:
The discussed salary range is $90,000 - $125,000 depending on experience
Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered
