Job Description

A day in the life

You start your shift on the production floor, acting as a roving inspector. With calipers and micrometers in hand, you verify parts against blueprints and GD&T, catching non-conformances before they move downstream. Between random line checks and dock audits, you’re capturing data for SPC and building dimensional layouts that feed PPAP, FAIR, and ISIR documentation. A quick handoff with Engineering has you assisting on MCR and ECN updates, then it’s over to your desk to refresh IMDS entries and keep international regulatory compliance current. You wrap up by coordinating with customers on sample submissions and technical files, and you log improvement ideas that make tomorrow’s shift even better.What you’ll do

Run line and dock audits to confirm processes and products meet established standards.

Create dimensional layouts and measurements for PPAP, SPC analysis, FAIR, ISIR, and continuous improvement work.

Maintain accurate, timely quality records in alignment with the Quality System.

Serve as a roving inspector on the floor, applying defined inspection criteria to spot and document non-conformances.

Collect data and perform audits on materials and processes to strengthen quality control.

Assist with Material Change Requests (MCR) and Engineering Change Notices (ECN).

Manage PPAP, FAIR, ISIR deliverables and support APQP activities.

Update and maintain IMDS entries for international compliance.

Coordinate directly with customers on sample submissions and technical documentation.

Support continuous improvement initiatives across Quality and Operations, contributing to forms and reports.Education

Associate’s Degree or equivalent, OR

6 months to 1 year of relevant experience/training, OR

An equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience

Background in quality control or manufacturing preferred.

Comfort with PPAP, SPC, FAIR, MCR, and ECN is highly desirable.Skills & tools

Sharp attention to detail and strong organization.

Ability to interpret technical drawings/blueprints and apply GD&T.

Hands-on with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and related inspection tools.

Analytical problem-solver with clear written and verbal communication.

Works independently and thrives in collaborative teams.

Proficient with Microsoft Excel.Job details
