Pharmacist

Location: Tucson, AZ

Schedule: Full-time, multiple shifts available

Reports To: Facility Administrator

Position Summary

The Pharmacist ensures the safe and accurate verification of prescription orders, compliance with VA and CMOP standards, and provides quality assurance oversight for pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities

Verify prescription orders for legend, OTC, Med/Surg, and controlled substances.

Assess drug orders and cross-match medications at checking stations.

Perform quality assurance and supervise pharmacy technicians.

Ensure compliance with VA and TJC documentation standards.

Handle hazardous materials safely and follow SOPs.

Qualifications

Licensed pharmacist in any U.S. state or territory; ACPE-accredited degree.

Licensed for controlled substances.

VetPro credentialing required.

Basic computer skills (MS Office), strong communication skills.

Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for long periods.

Work Environment

Fast-paced, high-volume mail-order pharmacy setting. Requires standing for extended periods and handling repetitive tasks. PPE provided for safety compliance.
