* Create and manage staff schedules.
* Help plan menus and daily food preparation.
* Make sure all food service operations follow health, safety, and infection control standards.
* Train new employees and provide ongoing staff education on equipment, safety, and kitchen procedures.
* Inspect kitchen and dining areas for cleanliness and safety.
* Check deliveries for quality and accuracy and keep track of inventory.
* Maintain attendance and other employee records; approve time off and address performance issues when needed.
* Assist with planning and serving meals for special events.
* Ensure proper food storage and security of kitchen areas.
