Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Properly operates the dish machine. Checks chemicals, temperature, and sanitizer and records on appropriate forms
Cleans and sanitizes all trays, glassware, plates, mugs, utensils, etc. after each meal
Properly disposes of garbage routinely throughout the day
Prepares beverages for tray line and keeps coolers stocked with beverages
Delivers residents/patient trays to each station
Practices proper food safety measures
Mops dietary department daily and as needed. Cleans any spills and uses wet floor signs appropriately.
Delivers supplies to stations as needed
Completes daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning duties as assigned
Properly stores all food and supplies using FIFO. Labels and dates all foods prior to being stored
Assist other staff in the Dietary Department as needed
Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Ability to read and write and follow written and oral instructions
High school diploma or GED required
Food service experience preferred
