The RN is accountable for practicing according to the New York State Nurse Practice Act, United Health Services policies, and professional nursing standards.
This role supports a caring, healing environment and emphasizes strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and effective communication.Job ResponsibilitiesAssess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a group of patients.Serve as primary or accountable nurse based on unit assignment.Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatments, and health promotion.Safely administer medications and follow all UHS medication policies.Support unit productivity through effective time and resource management.Comply with all nursing standards, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies.Participate in shared governance, unit council activities, and quality improvement efforts.Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain required continuing education.Support onboarding and learning for new staff and students.Perform Charge Nurse duties when assigned.Other duties as needed.ScheduleDays36 hours/weekEvery other weekend requiredUnit / SpecialtyICU RNRequired Experience & SkillsMinimum 6 months – 3 years RN experience.Strong collaboration and communication skills.Critical thinking, clinical judgment, and problem-solving abilities.Effective time management and reliability.Commitment to quality, safety, and patient-centered care.
