Columbus Clippers Grounds Crew Internship

Candidates must be willing to work a minimum of 40 hours per week plus games, be able to carry up to 70 lbs of product, and be willing to work hard in all weather conditions. Nearly all aspects of professional baseball field maintenance will be learned and practiced by each candidate. This will include turf maintenance, dirt work, clay work, irrigation work, and equipment maintenance. These practices will be learned at a top quality professional triple-A baseball facility with standards equal to MLB field requirements.

PREFERENCE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES: Available during the playing season Attending school with a focus on turfgrass science With previous experience working in the green industry .

PROVISIONS: $14.00 / hr & game stipend + bonus opportunity Meal vouchers for games and most events Full uniforms (incl.: pants, shorts, t-shirts, polos, jacket, hat) Housing will be left to the discretion of the intern (guidance will be provided).

Huntington Park will be entering its 18th season in 2026. An entirely new playing field was installed after undergoing a full renovation during the fall of 2017. It hosted the AAA All Star Game & festivities, and the AAA National Championship Game in 2018. Huntington Park is located in downtown Columbus, Ohio, and is home to the Cleveland Guardians triple-A affiliate Columbus Clippers. It has also been home to the Ohio High School Athletic Association baseball tournament. In the past, it has hosted other large scale events such as The Big Ten Tournament, the Pepsi Max Field of Dreams game; concerts such as The Dave Matthews Band and REO Speedwagon; corporate events; an annual Dinner on the Diamond; daily baseball camps; movie shoots; and other activities.
