Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring a valid OH or compact RN license, tele monitoring skills, and Epic experience.

Responsibilities

Work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting in a hospital environment

Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Requires floating to units of equivalent or lower acuity

Telemetry monitoring of patients is required

Epic EMR system experience is required

Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly after contract signing

Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers

Former employees are eligible if separated from the facility for at least 6 months

Current employees at any Ohio State University hospital are not eligible

All requested time off must be disclosed at time of application and built into the contract

Floating is required within units of equivalent or lower acuity

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration

Minimum of 2 years RN experience required

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

Must possess a V Cert

Ability to start IVs, administer medications, monitor labs, and provide patient education

Must be able to pass a telemetry test

Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program required

Experience in monitoring telemetry patients is required

Epic EMR experience required

Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor
