Job Description
F2Onsite is in need of Lead Data Center Technciain for a project located in New Albany, OH. This will be a 2-6 month contract.
Shift: 7AM to 4PM
Project Scope & Responsibilities:
As the Lead Technician, you will oversee and execute all on-site fiber cabling activities within the data center. This role requires hands-on experience with fiber optic patching, labeling, testing, and routing using best practices in a production environment.
Key Duties:
Inspect and clean fiber optic patch cables using industry-standard tools and procedures
Troubleshoot and test fiber connections; reterminate and repatch as needed (no splicing required)
Label fiber cables on both ends following the client-provided labeling schema
Install pre-terminated fiber cables per the client’s cabling matrix
Route and secure fiber through existing overhead ladder trays and pathways
Maintain clean, organized, and properly dressed cabling installations using Velcro ties
Lead by example to ensure safety compliance and technical accuracy
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Strong experience in data center cabling and fiber optic handling
Ability to interpret cabling matrices and labeling standards
Familiarity with ladder rack pathways and clean cable management techniques
Excellent attention to detail and quality assurance
Leadership ability to represent F2OnSite professionally at the client site
