Responsibilities
We are seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant who can also support our X-ray capabilities to join our team. In this dual-role position, you will act as the primary support for our providers, ensuring a seamless and comforting experience for patients from intake to discharge.
You will work closely with the supervising physician to facilitate patient flow, maintain clinical standards, and ensure accurate data entry in our EMR (eClinicalWorks).
Key Clinical Duties:
Patient Care & Intake: Measure and document vital signs, verify patient demographics/insurance, and prepare patients for examinations.
Clinical Procedures: Perform phlebotomy (blood draws), administer injections/medications, and prepare biological samples (needles, vials, test tubes) while strictly adhering to safety protocols.
X-Ray & Imaging: Prepare patients for imaging and execute X-ray procedures with a knowledge of anatomy, positioning, and body mechanics.
Environment of Care: Maintain a sterile, organized, and well-stocked exam room to ensure every patient enters a safe environment.
Qualifications
Clinical Experience: Proficiency in phlebotomy (blood drawing), medication administration, and injection techniques is highly prioritized.
X-Ray Knowledge: Understanding of X-Ray procedures, protocols, and safety/body mechanics.
Licensure (Preferred): ARRT certification or Basic X-Ray Machine Operator (BXMO) license is preferred. (Note: Active BXMO license holders are eligible for a higher pay rate).
Technical Skills: Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is required; familiarity with eClinicalWorks is a plus.
Soft Skills: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and answer patient questions with empathy and clarity.
Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, though not required.
Logistics: Reliable transportation is required for occasional travel to our Okeechobee Clinic.
Education: Minimum High School degree or equivalent.
