Position Summary

The Recruiter serves under the supervision of the Recruitment Manager within the Human Resources Department and plays a key role in connecting talented professionals and students with meaningful careers in public service. This position independently performs the full cycle of recruitment and outreach for both full-time and internship positions across the State of Ohio. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in representing the mission of the Auditor of State's Office (AOS). Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:

Manage job postings and candidate pipelines on the Ohio Hiring Management System (OHMS), Handshake, and other approved recruitment platforms.

Review applications, screen candidates, and conduct preliminary interviews.

Attend career fairs, campus events, and classroom presentations across Ohio to promote the AOS internship and full-time employment opportunities.

Process pre-hire documentation and background checks in accordance with office policies and applicable laws.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Completion of undergraduate core program in Human Resources, Business, or Public Administration

OR 2 years of experience in human resources;

OR 1 year of experience as a Human Capital Management Analyst (64612);

OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the State of Ohio job classification standards.

Preferred: Experience with the Ohio Hiring Management System (OHMS).

Additional Requirements:

Ability to travel frequently to colleges and universities throughout Ohio.

Must hold a valid Ohio driver's license and maintain a good driving record. Application Instructions
