DESCRIPTION
Otterbein University is in search of a Program Coordinator. The Program Coordinator supports the planning and execution of major events and ongoing processes with Student Success and Career Development.
This is a part-time, non-exempt position working 25 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
-Work collaboratively with the Associate Director of Experiential Learning and the Executive Director to manage logistics associated with READY Day. Liaison with READY Leadership team, committees and Office of Events and Conferences. Activities could include managing external contracts such as event/space reservations and caterers, coordinating event specific guest responses, and item inventory and ordering.
-Facilitate Immersive Experience Funding process. Schedule committee meetings, prepare student applications for committee review, process payments through approval processes. Communicate frequently with the Associate Director for Experiential Learning, Associate Provost for Teaching and Learning, Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement colleagues and the business office.
-Manage modification request process for students seeking exemption/changes to their degree requirements for Immersive Experiences or READY Day participation. Ongoing review of process for effectiveness and satisfaction with students.
-Assist in other large scale program implementation that could include, but not limited to, career events, Common Book events, New Student Transition Programs, or other Student Success and Career Development events.
-Special Projects as needed to support the mission and operations of Student Success and Career Development. Examples could include new technology roll outs, special event initiatives, process changes.
-Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent and three or more years of related experience required. Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
CORE COMPENTENCIES: Must exercise a high degree of initiative, independent judgment and flexibility. Must be a creative problem solver with a keen eye for ways to improve efficiency. Ability to exercise sound judgment in unusual or new situations in dealing with confidential information. Must possess excellent attention to details and complete tasks effectively and efficiently; must be a team player and interact collegially with co-workers and other constituencies.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must demonstrate professional level oral and written communications skills including grammar.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must be competent in general math.
TECHNICAL SKILLS: Strong computer literacy, especially Microsoft Suite of programs, design programs such as Canva, shared file processes, and database management.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to synthesize information and communicate across many constituencies, use critical thinking to solve complex issues, be able to work independently and guide decision making processes needed to achieve outcomes.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to communicate, sit, reach and use repetitive motions of hands and wrists. This position requires close vision. Must be able to meet regular and predictable attendance standards.
