Sr. QA Analyst

Our client, located in Columbus, is seeking a remote Sr. QA Analyst. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

Responsibilities

Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for API and SQL testing.

Perform manual and automated testing of APIs to ensure data accuracy, functionality, and security.

Validate and verify data integrity through complex SQL queries and database testing.

Collaborate with development and product teams to identify and resolve defects.

Conduct root cause analysis on defects and provide detailed reports on findings.

Ensure that API endpoints are tested for performance, security, and reliability.

Create and maintain test data, scripts, and documentation.

Participate in Agile/Scrum processes, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Provide feedback to improve software development processes and methodologies. Qualifications

3+ years of experience in quality assurance with a focus on API and SQL testing.

Proficiency in writing and executing complex SQL queries.

Proficiency in JIRA, SQL, and API testing tools.

Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), backend testing, and QA methodologies.

Experience with automated testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar.

Familiarity with performance testing and security testing techniques.
