Are you a skilled and experienced Postgres Database Administrator (DBA) looking for an exciting contract opportunity? Join our dynamic team, as we embark on a journey to optimize and manage our database systems.

Responsibilities:

Bachelor's with 5+ years of experience to Design, implementing and maintaining highly available and scalable Postgres database systems.

Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize queries for improved efficiency.

Collaborate with development teams to provide guidance on database design and optimization.

Perform database upgrades, migrations, and patches while ensuring minimal downtime.

Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.

Implement and maintain database security measures to protect sensitive data.

Ensure data integrity, backup, and disaster recovery processes are in place.

Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in database administration. Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Database Administrator, specifically with Postgres databases.

Proficiency in database design, optimization, and performance tuning.

Strong knowledge of SQL and query optimization techniques.

Experience with database monitoring and management tools.

Familiarity with backup, recovery, and security protocols.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or on-site environment.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills to interact effectively with cross-functional teams.

Any relevant certifications would be a plus.
