Academic Program Services Coordinator 2 (Marion Campus)

Marion Retention and Disability Services

This position provides a range of strategic and administrative support services focused on Student Affairs, with a primary emphasis on coordinating and proctoring accommodated testing services. The role is essential in ensuring the effective intake of students to the Office of Disability Services, supporting the means for success during the academic experience, and optimizing effectiveness afterward. Work ensures full access to a positive university experience for all students

Additional Information:

The successful candidate will be a responsible, self-starting individual whose tasks vary from week to week, requiring strong multitasking and attention to detail.

I. Testing Services and Accessibility (Approx. 70%)

Coordination and Implementation: Coordinate and implement accommodated exams to improve accessibility, ensuring all students have full access to a positive university experience.

Daily Operations: Manage and facilitate daily testing operations, proctoring approximately 500 exams annually.

Accommodations Management: Oversee the implementation of various accommodations, including extended time, distraction-reduced settings, assistive technology, accessible formats, and providing readers/scribes.

Technology Leadership: Lead on hardware, software, and data management compliance and improvement initiatives in collaboration with IT.

Communication: Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff to implement accommodated exams smoothly.

Finals Coordination: Aid with the coordination and implementation of final exams, ensuring test integrity and security.

ODS Support: Conduct initial consultations with students to determine potential eligibility for services through the Office of Disability Services (ODS) and represent ODS at prospective and current student events.

II. Student Affairs Support (Approx. 30%)

Office Support: Support the entire Student Affairs area, with duties blending across offices including Student Success Programming, Academic Advising, Counseling and Wellness, and Student Wellbeing and Engagement.

Programmatic Assistance: Provide support for key Student Affairs programs, including Orientation program support.

Administrative Tasks: Manage student records, oversee purchasing for organizational units reporting into the Student Affairs area, and handle other varied administrative tasks.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be preferred.

1 year of relevant experience required (2–4 years of relevant experience preferred).
