Location: Webster, South Dakota 57274

Facility Type: Critical Access Hospital (Acute Care)

Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/8/2025 – End: 3/9/2026)

Shift: 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend

Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week

Unit: ER/MedSurg (float between Emergency Room, Medical-Surgical, and Outpatient)

Patient Rooms: 10

Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: Average 1:2 or 1:3, maximum 1:6

Dress Code: Navy scrubs

Estimated Weekly Salary: $2140-$2290

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Compact or South Dakota State)

Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience

Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience

BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required

Critical Access Hospital experience preferred

EPIC charting experience preferred

Ability to float between ER, Med/Surg, and Outpatient units

At least 1 year of overall nursing experience required

ER RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care in the Emergency Room, Med/Surg, and outpatient settings

Perform essential RN procedures including IV starts, foley catheter insertion, and emergency interventions

Collaborate with fellow RNs and support staff (PCT or LPN)

Float between units based on patient census and hospital needs

Utilize healthcare technology such as EPIC, Philips central monitor/telemetry, and Lifepak 15

Participate in a tailored orientation for a smooth transition

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to facility policies

Serve as charge nurse in the ER as needed
