Travel Nursing Job Details

Location: Tuscaloosa, AL 35401 (Alabama nursing jobs)

Healthcare Setting: 36-bed Pulmonary Telemetry Unit

Assignment Type: Travel Nursing

Start Date: January 5, 2026

End Date: April 5, 2026

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Estimated Weekly Salary: $1720-$1840

Hours per Week: 36 or 48 (12-hour night shifts, 7:00pm – 7:00am)

Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

Shift Schedule: Every other weekend and holidays as required

Parking: On-site available

Dress Code: Solid Navy Scrubs

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or Compact state (no temporary licenses)

Associate degree in Nursing (minimum)

American Heart Association BLS certification

At least 1 year of experience in Med/Surg Telemetry or Pulmonary nursing specialty

Minimum 18 months of overall RN experience

Experience with Meditech EMR preferred

Willingness to float to other units and hospitals as needed

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Provide specialized nursing care to patients with respiratory disorders in a telemetry healthcare setting

Manage a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio, ensuring safe and effective patient care

Collaborate with respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy teams

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress

Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed

Educate patients and families on disease processes and care plans

Float to other units and hospitals within the healthcare system as required

Work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
