Job Description:
Conduct thorough and detailed training on a range of different topics with guard force
Select and conduct appropriate training methods or activities (e.g. real life scenarios and simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training, orientation classes)
Keep accurate records and logs of all training conducted
Conduct organization-wide training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed
Use experience and knowledge and stay up-to-date on new training methods and techniques
Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills
Gather feedback from Training Manager and your trainees after each educational session
Partner with Client and liaise with your leaders to accomplish any last minute requirements
Maintain updated curriculum database and training records
Manage and maintain local IC training office and equipment
Research and recommend new training methods when needed
Be prepared to help with post coverages when the need arises
Be available to work differing hours and shifts based on client/officer needs
Qualifications:
Communicate effectively in the English language, both verbally, in writing, and over various communications systems
Ability to greet and deal tactfully with everyone on site
Exercise of good judgment, courage, alertness, an even temperament, and ability to render satisfactory performance through knowledge of his/her position responsibilities
Ability to maintain poise and self-control during situations that involve mental stress; such as fire emergencies, explosions, civil disturbances, and building evacuations
Capability of understanding and applying written and verbal orders, rules, and regulations
Ability to interpret printed rules and regulations, detailed written orders, training instructions and materials from the Training Manager
Be able to meet all applicable licensing, registration and certification requirements in the state in which the officer's assigned facility is located
Prepare and submit training reports that are legible, accurate and complete
