nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:nThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day planning, scheduling, tracking and reporting for software development projects using Java technologies.
The candidate will be responsible for: nnCoordinating the delivery of multiple projects and dependencies being executed by other teams within the organization nnnAllocating and/or tracking resources across multiple projects.
nnnWorking knowledge of SELC and associated documentation (project plans, charters, business cases, requirements documents, test plans, reports, etc.) nnnCreating project plans and managing them accordingly.
nnnWorking closely with business and solution resources on lifecycle deliverables.
nnnGenerating weekly status reports in several formats.
nnnWorking with clients to gather requirements.
Interpret and translate the captured technical and functional requirements into technical documentation that can be used by both the project management team and the development teams to develop the end user software using Java technologies.
nnnCoordinate with various organizations and teams within the enterprise to ensure that all the activities and dependencies are met by matrixed resources and other teams responsible for delivery within the organization.
nnnDocument project risks and mitigation plans and communicate to the stakeholders.
nnnEnsure all the processes are documented and followed for compliance.
nnnContribute to project scoping, including requirement assessment, best practices, application design and development, methodologies, and budget recommendations.
nnWork Experience and Job Skills:nn5-10 years of professional experience, preferably supporting Federal Government projects and programs.
nnn2+ years in Agile Development projects - ability to demonstrate a strong working knowledge of Agile/Scrum Methodologies.
nnnFamiliarity with data analysis and good understanding of data modeling concepts.
nnnExperience with developing SELC documents.
nnnStrong attention to detail, highly organized and able to thrive in a busy, deadline driven atmosphere.
nnnPrior experience as a developer is a plus for the job.
nnnAbility to interact and work with customers on Business Analysis and document requirements as needed.
nnEducation:nnBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field with applicable experience is required.
Applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
nnCertificates, Licenses, and Registrations:nnThis federal program requires the candidates to be a United States Citizen.
nnnMust have a current CBP BI clearance or be eligible to obtain one.
nnnProject Management Professional (PMP) Certification is a plus.
nnnCertified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification is a plus.
nnnAny related systems engineering, or related technical certifications are desired.
nnCommunication Skills:nnMust have excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with strong listening skills.
nnnSolid ability to interface, inspire and motivate at various levels of the organization.
nnnMust have strong technical communication skills.
nnnAbility to convey technical information to non-technical individuals.
nnnDemonstrated experience communicating effectively across internal and external organizations.
nnnMust work well in a matrixed team environment.
