Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a NY license, strong ortho background, and call responsibility.
Responsibilities
Work in the Operating Room (OR) of a 90-bed community hospital
Unit features a heavy orthopedic caseload
Patient ratio is 1:1 in the OR
Shift options include 3x12-hour or 4x10-hour day shifts starting at 7:00 AM
On-call responsibilities are required
Uses Olympus and Stryker equipment
Charting is done with Paragon EMR
Must provide proof or declination for COVID vaccination
Flu vaccination or declination required by October 31, mask required if declining
Local travelers within 60 miles are accepted with contract adjustments
Assignment length is 13 weeks
Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts during the contract
First-time travelers will be considered
Requirements
Active NY RN license required
Minimum 2 years of recent OR RN experience
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required at the time of consideration
Must have completed 6 stroke-related CEUs prior to start
Strong orthopedic OR experience is required
Travel nurse experience is preferred
