Travel Nurse Job Details
Location: Columbus, Ohio (43210) – Ohio healthcare jobs
Facility: Gynecology and Urology Oncology Unit
Contract Type: Travel nursing contract
Start Date: January 5, 2026
End Date: April 27, 2026
Duration: 16 weeks
Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (Day: 7:00am–7:30pm / Night: 7:00pm–7:30am), 3 shifts per week
Hours per Week: 36
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1940–$1990
Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
Unit Census: 36 beds
Orientation: 72 hours (first week Monday–Friday dayshift, second week with preceptor)
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – valid compact or Ohio state nursing license required
Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Med/Surg Tele nursing
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
Strong skills in telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and medical-surgical nursing
Experience with chemotherapy administration and oncology procedures preferred
Epic charting system proficiency required
Ability to provide two professional references (one from a manager/director or formal leader)
Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric oncology patients, supporting their physical and emotional needs
Administer chemotherapy and monitor for adverse reactions
Participate in clinical trials and assist with accurate data documentation
Perform specialized procedures: brachytherapy, neobladder care, feeding tube management, IV therapy, blood product administration, central line maintenance
Implement infection prevention protocols and patient falls management
Monitor telemetry readings, interpret and manage dysrhythmias
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and utilize rapid response teams as needed
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Epic electronic health records
Float to other Med/Surg Oncology units as needed
