Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN) Family Birthing Center is located at Manchester Memorial Hospital. The ECHN Family Birthing Center is a Level 3 Neonatology (NICU) hospital site. We invite practicing Physician Assistants (PA-C) to apply for NICU opportunities that include full-time (40 hours per week), part-time (24 hours per week), or per diem shifts, all of which support a flexible work-life balance. Some of the services include daily lactation consultations, support from midwives and doulas, neonatal abstinence syndrome education, nitrous oxide therapy, vaginal birth after cesarean, and hydrotherapy and water births.

As a member of our multidisciplinary team, and the support of a strong partnership with Connecticut Children?s Medical Center (ranked as one of the top children?s hospitals in pediatric and neonatology care) with expert neonatology care. Our specialized team includes Neonatology APRN and PA-C providers, Neonatology Nurses, Lactation Consultants, Pediatricians, Physical Therapists, Respiratory Therapists, and Social Workers. Position Highlights:

Level 3 Neonatology Intensive Care Unit with infant nursery

Provide high-risk care, deliveries, and C-sections with resuscitation

Daily clinical management, rounding, surgical procedures experience, admissions, and documentation

24-hour or 12-hour rotating shifts support work-life balance

Requirements:

Graduate advanced degree from an accredited Physician Assistant (PA-C) Program must have 2 or more years of experience as a NICU Physician Assistant (PA-C)

Connecticut license, Federal DEA, and Controlled Substance Registration (CSR)
