Role Purpose:
To ensure accurate, compliant, and cost-effective fleet maintenance planning that supports Kuwait Airways’ operational schedule and continuing airworthiness obligations. The Fleet Planning Manager manages the short-, medium-, and long-term maintenance planning of the commercial fleet in accordance with Kuwait DGCA Part-M requirements and OEM/aircraft maintenance program standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Planning & Scheduling:
Develop, maintain, and optimise short-, medium-, and long-term maintenance plans, ensuring minimal aircraft downtime.
Track and control aircraft utilisation (FH/FC) and maintenance due lists for the fleet.
Forecast and plan scheduled maintenance events:
A-Checks, C-Checks, IL/8Y, structural inspections
LLP life limits and component replacements
Modifications, cabin upgrades, SB/AD compliance
Issue and prepare maintenance work packages, task cards, and supporting data for scheduled events.
Regulatory & CAMO Compliance:
Ensure planning activities comply with:
Kuwait DGCA Part-M continuing airworthiness requirements
Aircraft Maintenance Programme (AMP)
Approved reliability programme and technical procedures
Maintain accurate configuration control across the fleet.
Technical Data & MIS Systems:
Update and maintain aircraft data in the approved Maintenance Information System (e.g., AMOS, TRAX, ENVISION, OASES).
Review MPD, MRBR, AD/SB, and OEM revisions and incorporate updates into planning forecasts.
Produce maintenance forecasts, status reports, and airworthiness planning summaries.

Aircraft Manufacturers, MROs, and Lessors
Support aircraft induction and phase-out transition planning and records handover.
Cost Efficiency & Continuous Improvement:
Optimise maintenance event packaging to reduce ground time and operational disruptions.
Support maintenance cost forecasting, LLP budget planning, and inventory projection.
Contribute to continuous improvement in planning methodologies and CAMO procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or an aviation-related technical discipline.
Experience:
Minimum 5–7 years in maintenance or fleet planning within an airline CAMO/MRO environment.
Experience with commercial passenger aircraft planning, preferably a widebody/narrowbody mix.
Familiarity with Kuwait DGCA Part-M, or EASA/FAA CAMO regulatory frameworks.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of:
Aircraft Maintenance Planning Document (MPD), MRBR
AD/SB and modification planning
LLP life tracking and component control
Work package/task card generation
Proficiency with Excel and planning/reporting tools.
MIS/Software Advantage:
Experience with at least one of the following:
AMOS, TRAX, OASES, ENVISION, Ramco, or other MIS/MRO systems.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong analytical and scheduling skills with close attention to detail.
Ability to work in a time-critical, operational environment.
Clear written and verbal communication across technical and operational teams.
Problem-solving mindset with a continuous improvement approach.
Ability to provide leadership or mentorship to junior planners.

Additional Requirements:
Travel between the UK and Kuwait.
Ability to travel to MRO or maintenance locations if required.
Flexibility for occasional extended or irregular operational hours.
