With recent medical device approvals in Canada and the US, and pending approvals in Europe and Australia, we are expanding our reach and impact globally.About the RoleWe are looking for a reliable and proactive Production Support Technician to assist production operations and ensure smooth coordination among manufacturing, supply chain, and quality functions.
The primary focus of this role is to support quality documentation, manufacturing coordination, and production logistics, while also performing hands-on assembly, soldering, testing, labeling, and packaging tasks when required.
This position is well-suited for candidates who are capable of performing both administrative tasks and hands-on technical work within a regulated medical device manufacturing environment.ResponsibilitiesAssist in monitoring and reviewing manufacturers’ production quality and quality system practices to ensure compliance and product consistency.Support coordination with manufacturers to maintain production records, traceability, and device tracking logs.Assist with updating and controlling production documentation (WIs, test forms, logs) and ensuring compliance with IEC 60601 / ISO 13485 requirements.Help ensure proper labeling, packaging, and storage of finished devices in compliance with regulatory requirements.Monitor component inventory and coordinate replenishment as needed to ensure sufficient stock for production.Track manufacturers’ build progress and shipment timelines to support on-time production and delivery.Perform hands-on assembly work including soldering, and component assembly as required.Conduct functional testing in accordance with quality system requirements to verify device performance and operating modes.Complete quality checks and record results in accordance with controlled procedures.Label, package, and prepare products for shipment.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.3 year’s experience in a manufacturing or production support environment preferred.
Required SkillsFamiliar with quality management systems (QMS) and demonstrate strong organizational and documentation skills with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.Strong hands-on technical skills with attention to detail and precision.Proactive, reliable, and quick to learn, able to work independently with minimal supervision.Excellent communication and teamwork skills for cross-functional coordination.Experience working under ISO 13485 or within a medical device manufacturing environment is an asset.Preferred SkillsExperience working under ISO 13485 or within a medical device manufacturing environment is an asset.
