Key Responsibilities of Project Engineer Manager

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers to deliver projects successfully.

Oversee project timelines, budgets, and scope to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Develop and implement project management processes and industry best practices.

Manage project Profit and Loss (P&L) and ensure financial objectives are met.

Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure project success.

Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

Prepare and present reports and updates to senior leadership.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.

Travel to project and customer sites within New Brunswick and New England as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

Proven experience managing or contributing to major infrastructure projects; experience in rail projects is preferred.

Proven leadership and team management experience.

Experience leading engineering teams in civil engineering or construction projects.

Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.

Experience managing Profit and Loss (P&L) for projects.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Previous commercial experience is considered an asset.
