Travel Nursing Job Details
Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York healthcare jobs)
Assignment Length: 13 weeks (August 4, 2024 – November 3, 2024)
Setting: Surgical Services – Operating Room (OR)
Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), every other weekend required
Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or compact state eligibility
Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room (OR) nursing experience
BLS certification required
Strong clinical skills in perioperative and surgical nursing
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities
Deliver direct patient care in the Operating Room, ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical team members to provide high-quality clinical support
Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols
Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgery, responding promptly to changes
Accurately document all aspects of patient care in compliance with hospital and healthcare regulations
Engage in ongoing professional development and training as required
