Key Job Details – PACU RN Travel Assignment

Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York nursing jobs)

Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 9, 2024 – December 9, 2024)

Healthcare Setting: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Shift: 12-hour day shifts (start times between 7am and 11am)

Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed

On-Call: 12 hours per week (as needed by department)

Weekend Requirements: As needed, per department needs

Employment Type: Travel RN, W2 contract

Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,930–$2,070 per week

PACU Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or compact eligible

Minimum 1 year of recent PACU or acute care nursing experience

BLS certification (AHA required)

ACLS certification (preferred for PACU nursing jobs)

Strong assessment, clinical, and communication skills

Ability to work flexible shifts and participate in on-call rotation

PACU RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia care to surgical patients in a clinical setting

Monitor patient recovery, vital signs, and manage pain control

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions

Maintain accurate nursing documentation and ensure patient safety

Respond promptly to emergencies and changes in patient condition
