Hours: Monday - Thursday 8 am - 4 pm, Fridays 8 am - 2 pm
General Summary:
Utilize specialized equipment (Sensus SRT) to administer superficial radiation therapy for skin cancer patients. The physician assistant will be required to perform the simulation, verify the dose and properly prepare each patient before treatment.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Understand and operate imaging and treatment equipment (Sensus SRT). Training will be provided.
Use computers to calculate proper type and dosage of radiation.
Verify the dose before administering.
Collect and manage relevant patient information.
Help ensure proper positioning of patients for treatment using masks, braces, and other equipment.
Explain procedures to the patient.
Ensure safety protocols are followed.
Administer radiation treatments.
Monitor patient’s emotional and physical tolerance of treatment.
Document results and update patient record.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Current Physician Assistant license.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot technical machinery.
Ability to help adjust, lift, shift patients as needed.
Ability to follow directions and act independently and professionally.
Required:

Able to adapt to different working environments.
Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.

Adheres to Toledo Clinic policies and procedures.
CPR certification required.
Education:
Physician Assistant licensure required (State of Michigan)
Licensure in good standing required.
