Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Shift: 12-hour night shifts (1845 – 0715); every other weekend required
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1650 - $1770
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Tennessee or compact state
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to first shift
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required prior to first shift
Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in Med/Surg or acute care nursing (2 years preferred)
Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized patient care plans
Deliver high-quality, compassionate care in accordance with clinical protocols and safety standards
Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees
Initiate patient teaching and discharge planning from admission
Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
Promote patient and employee safety by following hospital policies and maintaining a safe work environment
Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, patients, and families
Contribute to team building and a positive, efficient work environment
Assume charge nurse duties as needed after orientation
Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education
