Job Description

The MRI Technologist is responsible for providing timely imaging services to both inpatient and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. Responsibilities include changing imaging parameters to study soft tissue, arterial systems, brain, spine, joints, and extremities, with or without the use of contrast media. The role requires the management of inpatient studies alongside an outpatient schedule, performing MRI scans of the brain, spine, abdomen, and extremities.

Responsibilities

Provide MRI imaging services to patients in a timely manner.

Perform a variety of MRI scans including, but not limited to, brain, spine, abdomen, and extremities.

Adjust imaging parameters based on the required study and protocols under the guidance of a Radiologist.

Handle inpatient studies and assist with an outpatient schedule.

Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

3-5 years of previous experience required.

ARRT MRI Certification required.

Experience with Siemens Magnetom Symphony Maestro preferred.

Graduation from an accredited AMA school is preferred but not required.

Must maintain a State License as a general radiographer.
