Travel RN Job Details – Springfield, IL

Location: Springfield, IL 62769 (Central Illinois healthcare jobs)

Unit: Cardiac/Pulmonary Telemetry

Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract

Start Dates: Multiple options – 12/8, 12/15, 12/22, 12/29, and January starts available (must end by 3/14/2026)

Duration: 13-week contract

Shift: 12-hour night shifts; every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Patient Ratio: 1:6, with support from 2 clinical techs

Estimated Weekly Salary: $1950-$2090

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in hand at time of submission)

Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required

Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry or Cardiac/Pulmonary RN experience

Experience with 12-hour night shifts and weekend rotations

Excellent communication, clinical assessment, and teamwork skills

All requested time off must be provided at time of submission

Travel Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to patients in the Cardiac/Pulmonary Telemetry unit

Monitor, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms and vital signs; respond promptly to changes in patient condition

Collaborate with physicians, clinical techs, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions as prescribed

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)

Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions
