Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU night shift assignment in a Level 1 Trauma setting in Ohio, requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
Responsibilities
Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of a hospital
Level 1 Trauma environment with telemetry and ventilator patient care
Night shifts available: two 12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30) and two 8-hour shifts (23:00–07:30) per week
Required to work 1-2 weekends per 4-week schedule
Must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after contract signing as part of onboarding
Responsibilities include post-anesthesia recovery care and management of high-acuity patients
Locals are accepted for this position at the same rate
Time off requests must be submitted with the initial application
Professional attire or scrub requirements will be communicated upon assignment
Requirements
Current RN license in Ohio or compact state license required at time of consideration
ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Experience in Level 1 Trauma setting necessary
Ability to monitor telemetry and manage ventilated patients required
Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
Two professional references required, including one from a supervisor or manager
Must not be a current employee of any Ohio State University hospital location
Former employees are eligible if separated from the facility for at least 6 months
