Shift: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Description:
Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and facility policies and procedures.
Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatments and examinations of residents.
Observes residents, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor, physician, and family of resident’s condition and response to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess resident condition.
Assigns duties and coordinates nursing services on the resident unit to ensure resident needs are met per Physician instructions, regulations, and facility procedures.
Consults with Shift Supervisor on nursing problems and interpretation of facility policies to ensure resident needs are met.
Reports all complaints or unusual problems to supervisor and assists with facility complaint reports.
Participates in orientation, training, and evaluation of nursing personnel.
Evaluates nursing activities to ensure resident care quality, staff relations, and efficiency.
Assigns duties and coordinates nursing service on the resident unit.
Observes nursing care and visits residents to ensure treatment is administered as directed.
Assumes responsibility and maintains records for unit narcotics.
Inspects resident rooms and unit for cleanliness and comfort.
Responsible for documenting admissions, discharges, transfers, and incident reports per facility policy.
Participates in care plan process; completes nursing assessments and care plans accurately and timely.
Completes special projects and audits as directed by Supervisor, CCC, or DON.
Maintains all Michigan educational requirements to keep license current; attends facility in-services and ward conferences.
Maintains resident confidentiality; treats residents with kindness, dignity, and respect; complies with all Resident Rights rules; promptly reports all resident accidents and injuries.
• Submission Requirements:
2+ years experience in LTC, SNF, or Med Surg setting – REQUIRED
Must have completed at least 1 successful travel assignment as an RN – REQUIRED
RTO cannot exceed 5 days; no RTO approved after offer – REQUIRED
COVID vaccine strongly preferred (if declining, masking required)
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS:
Work history with explanation of any employment gaps >3 months
Skills checklist (less than 1 year old)
2 supervisory references from past 2 years
Active certifications at time of submission
Active MI RN license / Nursys
COVID vaccination card if applicable (must include vaccination status)
• Additional Facility Information:
Agency must have an active MI iCHAT account and be authorized to schedule fingerprinting.
Blocked scheduling not approved; traveler must be flexible.
Limited housing options—traveler must be aware and searching during submission.
• On Call: No call
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Certifications: BLS (AHA)
• State Licenses: Michigan
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48
