Requirements

Position Overview

The Middle School Head Coach oversees the athletic program for their assigned sport, fostering student growth in both athletic ability and personal character. This role builds a positive foundation for student athletes to transition successfully into higher levels of competition.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and organize practices, games, and conditioning sessions.

Teach fundamentals, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Mentor and supervise assistant coaches.

Monitor academic performance and eligibility standards.

Communicate with families, staff, and administration.

Represent DHPA Athletics within the CAA with professionalism and pride.

Qualifications

Previous coaching experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of the sport and CAA rules.

Ability to inspire and positively mentor middle school athletes.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).

Fingerprint clearance card (required).
