Concrete Installation Workers/Precast Technicians

Craftsmen Contractors is hiring for Precast Techs/Concrete Installation Workers for concrete work for an industrial plant in Minden, Louisiana. These are temp-to-permanent positions, and you will need to do a face- to-face interview. You will also need to pass a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug screen.

Pay is $15.40 - $21.45/hour depending on experience. No per diem is offered. Weekly pay by direct deposit.

Job Duties:

* Responsible for casting and finishing of panels, roofs, and floors with the use of hand tools.

* Install various components into a rectangular form.

* Work with concrete and assemble concrete buildings using precast concrete pieces.

* Lubricate casting machines with oil and position casting machines over a pallet.

* Install control joints and weld plates, and finish with a trowel around the doors and edges.

* With the assistance of other employees, square the form by positioning and adjusting rails and bulkheads according to blueprints.

* Install PVCs, foam, and rebar, and glue down applicable components, and install the precut rebar mat.

* Install block caps where needed on rails and cover any holes, openings, or seams on the form with tape.

Job Requirements:

* Ability to ascend, descend, and work overhead from a ladder and stand for long periods of time

* Ability to stoop, crouch, and kneel to apply paneling and to work overhead.

* Ability to use various hand and power tools and to lift up to 50 lbs. when moving materials on the job.

* Demonstrate basic math skills, mechanical aptitude, and know how to use a tape measure.

* Read blueprints, communicate effectively, and have good judgment and attention to detail.

* Ability to maintain satisfactory working relationships and interact effectively with all levels of employees.

* High school diploma or GED required.

* Will need to pass a criminal background check and drug screen, and must do a face-to-face interview before being hired.

As a Precast Concrete Worker, you will be an integral piece of the construction process, responsible for shaping and finishing concrete products. Your mechanical knowledge and basic math skills will aid in accurate measurements and installations.
