My client is looking to add an experienced Project Manager to the team for a unique up and coming project in downtown Calgary.
My client is a well-established full service mechanical contractor based out of BC who have been in operation for over 40 years.
They have a diverse portfolio including high-rise, P3 design-build and ICI new builds.
They have been expanding operations in Alberta and have some exciting projects coming up next year.
In this role you will be based on site in Downtown Calgary, the project is a first of its kind conversation from high-rise office space to residential creating over 400 new units in this sought-after part of downtown.Please see below for an insight on the day-to-day duties of the role:Oversee the scopes related to all mechanical systems on the project to ensure the project to be completed on time and budget Manage projects from pre-construction to completionProviding technical insight throughout to avoid issues and to be cost effective Prepare contacts when required Regular reviews of change orders Assist with take offs and bidding on new jobs Coach and mentor more junior members of the team Analyze site progress with regular site walkthroughs Build relationships with Project Managers and Superintendents to work cohesively towards the same goals Lead and manage all stakeholders involved, including: subs, consultants, and internal teams Manage RFI’s, shop drawings and general administrationPartner with all MEP trades and lead from the front Assisting with budgets, schedules and cash flow projects Help with defining roles and scopes of work Regular status check ins on M&E aspects of the project, confirming everything is being reported correctly Monitor the material and labour costs for the M&E scopes Other requirements as assigned Requirements A minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a Mechanical Project Manager in North America Ideal range of experience 5-10 years Must have full service mechanical experience Worked on a new build project $30M + A related education is an asset Must be happy to work from the site office Compensation $120,000 - $150,000 base salary (depends on experience) Paid vacation 3-4 weeks 5% RRSP Matching Full medical and dental benefits 100% employer paid Vehicle allowance
